I recently read on Yahoo that the top slogan for Earth Day was, "Love the earth, it's the only one we've got." It received 60% of the votes and I can certainly understand why. First, we must love something in order to give of ourselves, to take action. This slogan reminds me personally about the Ten Commandments and is a reflection of Deuteronomy 6:5 where Moses related to the people, "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all they soul, and with all they might."

This teaches us that we must put our heart and soul into repairing the damage to the earth. We must do it with faith. We must do it to take care of the children, humanity and generations to come after us. We cannot be selfish and think only about today. And, in fact, loving the earth branches out from God's commandments for the world he created for us to live. This is our fishbowl, the air we breath, the water we drink and the earth from which we build and upon we walk. Let's take care of our earth by creating slogans to motivate us to do more than ever before to save our planet.

Dear Dr Katz ~ I found this a refreshing article on the best way to care for your patients. I felt no need to read the article to which you were responding. No need to listen to another man's evaluation of your position and method of searching for solutions to humanity's pain and sufferings, when you state it so clearly here.

I especially admire your humility of accepting that when you had used every conventional medicine available, as a true healer, you began to search out other modalities being used, before you put the negative stamp upon it. RE: "I maintain that responsiveness to the needs of patients is as great an imperative in medicine as responsible use of science." In other words, you put your patients first and foremost in an effort to ease their pain when what you had been trained to do simply did not work.

Please ignore any negative remarks by person's bent [with inflexibility] upon destroying the good name and honor of someone who does not fit into their mold. We need more independent thinkers to move our planet to a better place in medicine and other areas of well-being. Blessings, Debby

The FDA is starting to get the message. They have not performed well over the last decade, but with all the notoriety for drug and product recalls they need to improve their own public image. Today's social media explosion enables the man in the street to have his say and band together with other like-minded individuals to point out what needs repair in the system. That goes for false labeling, improper advertising, dangerous, unsafe and unhealthy food ingredients.

Dear Dr Nalini Chilkov. Thank you for writing this book review and telling us how contemporary cancer treatment may be changing as hospitals begin to integrate alternative care units that include nutritional and dietary changes, acupuncture and other healing modalities.

As we become more health conscious, and take responsibility for our self care, we question the status quo. Society begins to question mammogram protocol as we review the effects of radiation. Chemotherapy changes into more targeted treatments and less toxicity.

We still have many unanswered questions regarding the increase in incidence of many cancers and at younger ages, including brain cancer, hodgkins, breast, pancreatic, etc.

We have made strides, but there is a long way to go. Bringing alternative approaches into the treatment options also brings more choices for those diagnosed with cancer. I'm looking forward to "YOU DID WHAT?: Saying No to Conventional Cancer Treatment" is a book written by Hollie and Patrick Quinn.

In an attempt to keep insects at low levels, they are putting many other living populations at risk. Most of you have heard of chemtrails, which cause allergic reactions in humans, but have you thought how it would effect all other wild animals and the balance of nature?

This hub brings to your attention the importance of saving the bees, because we depend upon them. We must take a lesson from all the clues in our environment that tell us something is not right in our world. Natural events presently warn of what is to come. The video above is quite dramatic, inflammatory and extreme in its predictions for earth's population and civilizations. The producer tried to make a point and comparison between bee civilizations and human civilizations. Calling a warning he attempts to move us to action now! His imagination runs wild, but do we really know what the future foretells? Isn't that the purpose of ancient sages who had visions and called out in the village square? All I can say it that we should listen and learn. If this is our worst nightmare, then we should band together as worker bees to find solutions to the collapse of the world as we know it today.

I enjoyed reading your article on the Greening of Medicine based upon how humanity views ourselves and our universe, and our relationship to our world. The pendulum swings from each extreme and hopefully will find a happy medium where each valid form of medicine finds its rightful place. A place where materialism and spiritualism rests comfortably with those who need the benefits of these systems. For those who require a spiritual component of human understanding and care - we know there are studies that indicate bedside manner increases improved outcome for the patient. There are man who attribute their healing to 'community' bonding, prayer and their connection to God. Others, require strict discipline to clinical numbers and sterile environment, with many medications to maintain balance. For each type of individual there could be a way and that is part of the journey of life, finding our way to live in peace.

I'm on so many websites that I started to tally them up and still counting. The twitter revolution is flitting away my time. I'm a junkie and wonder how anyone keeps up with all of this social networking. People tell me to organize and limit.

Wondering how they respond to all the incoming messages, not to mention emails? Just say 'ta-ta' to all your newly made friends? If anyone could guide me to another good blog about how to live. Ah.

Maybe we should simply shut off the computer? Some how I don't know how to do that, yet. I think we're all living vicariously through everyone else's blogs, tweets, posts, hubs, and squids [what do you call those things again?].

This is kind of turning into my very own 'live journal' because I've lost the name and password to that one, too. Isn't it so much excitement and fun building relationships and partnerships? Helping people build their business and sing their song of what they love. Learning social networking is the rage and everyone is doing it.

We all know it is good for some things, but not other things. Like when to find the time to watch the flowers bloom and the kids play?

Is there a website for NING-A-HOLICS Anonymous? Hope to 'Tweet' in again soon. I think my brain is turning to mush as my verbiage disintegrates into bits and bytes. So many links and pages, does anyone know how to AGGREGATE to CONSOLIDATE and LIQUIDATE? I will have to make a song about it.

Homeopathy World Community

Everything in life happens through an unfolding process. Each day brings a new dawn. We awaken to a new song, meet new people, learn something to add to our growth and hopefully give and take joy.

One day at the end of March 2009, I was in prayer when a tiny voice inside told me that everything I had been studying could be put to use. A community of people who believed in homeopathy as a healing force could network and use social media to become one whole unit. Using today's technology people from across the globe could interact, learn, teach, talk, smile and share.

That night I put the whole thing together and fine-tuned some of the ideas into a new website called HomeopathyWorldCommunity. It was a lot of pressure to accomplish this task in one week to open for Homeopathy World Awareness Week 2009 [HWAW]. Originally, I thought it would take 6 months to a year to get it started.

With the help of Melissa and George Burch of Innerhealth.us it became a reality. Melissa has been working on social media and networking for two years. Her passion and belief in homeopathy motivated her to create a school so that more homeopaths would be well-trained and ready for action. Right now she is teaching at the Catalyst Total Immersion School in Colorado, USA.

My gratitude to Melissa, program director, and George, technical assistance, for their guidance, support, training, teleconference, webinar and ustream. When the site opened for the first time Melissa sustained a full 12-hour marathon interviewing historical members of the homeopathic community. People chatted live and were getting involved and stimulated.

The potential is enormous for the growth of homepathy around the world. Creating this "Wave of Awareness" begins with us. The website is composed of you, the members who actively discuss issues of concern, link your websites, and generally get the word out to the public. In four short weeks there are 650 members. I know this number will skyrocket exponentially over time filled with quality people who are interested in natural self-care health-care.
